More

Local team

Have you ever thought about trying out horse showing?

We have programs for you to get started and you don’t have to own your own horse. We have horses ready to show and help you achieve your dreams.

Local Equestrian Show Team

The Local Team competes at Open Shows in the East Bay Area and upper San Joaquin Valley. Team members ride at these shows on our extraordinary schooling horses or horses of their own.

Many of these riders go on to become members of our World Equestrian Team.

Local Team requirements

  • Saturday Show Team practices

World Team

World Equestrian Show Team

Our World Equestions Team is made up of advanced riders who have been members of our Local Team and are looking to be challenged on a higher level.  Team members ride on horses they own or lease a show horse that Dal Porto Riding Academy has approved.

Both youth and adults can participate and they show at Local, State and World level.

Benefits for Show Team members

Our members reap excellent results.  It’s the process that makes horse showing rewarding.  While we have claimed many championship titles, the real satisfaction is in the journey that takes us there.

Along that journey riders learn to practice excellence, goal setting and personal responsibility.  These practices often become habits that propel our Show team riders into success in other areas of their life.

Show team commitment

The commitment to becoming an advanced rider grows from respect for and love of the horse.  As students learn to care for horses, Dal Porto teaches an incorruptible commitment to the horse’s well- being.  In addition, show team riders are challenged in an inspiring way and taught skills to reach their horse show goals.

Carol specializes in the all-around rider.

“It took some courage to get back into horse showing after being away from it for 20 years. The choice I made to come and ride at Dal Porto Ranch has been one of the best decisions I have made. I am challenged in a way that motivates me and it is rewarding to ride with a world class coach and supportive teammates. I am excited and confident as I move closer to my dream of riding at the world show.”
